Opening service requests is sometimes a necessary evil but with the recently introduced feature in VxRail 7.0.400, you can do it quickly from the vCenter Server plugin. That is right, no need to find the login details for the support website and locate your node serial numbers.

You need to have remote connectivity enabled from the Support section for this feature to work.

It’s really self explanatory, but you can find below the steps below on how to open a VxRail Service Request from vCenter Server.
  1. Click Create Service Request in the Support section of the VxRail plugin

  2. Provide your contact details, include details about the request and upload attachments if applicable.

  3. Finally you will receive a confirmation on the service request creation.
